The person behind the camera
I’ve had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I was always drawn to capturing moments, but becoming a photographer was never something I had consciously planned.
That changed in the spring of 2022.
A close friend of mine was preparing to launch her event-planning business and was hosting a large event to celebrate the beginning of her journey. She asked me to photograph the evening, and without knowing it, I said yes to something that would completely change the direction of my life.
For almost nine hours, I photographed everything; the people, the details, the atmosphere, the laughter, the emotions, and all the little moments happening in between. What surprised me most was how quickly the time passed. I never felt tired. I never felt the need to stop. I simply wanted to keep photographing.
That night, I fell in love with photography.
It was the first time I realised that this wasn’t simply something I enjoyed doing. It was something I felt naturally connected to; something that allowed me to tell stories, preserve emotions, and turn fleeting moments into memories that could be revisited for years to come.
Over the years, I’ve had the honour of documenting everything from intimate portraits, grand wedding celebrations, fashion shows, editorial photoshoots and unforgettable events. Yet, weddings hold a particularly special place in my heart.
There is something incredibly meaningful about witnessing two people begin a new chapter together. A wedding is more than a beautiful day; it is the beginning of a story, surrounded by the people, emotions, and moments that matter most. I believe those memories deserve to be documented with intention, artistry, and care, creating photographs that will continue to bring you joy long after the day has passed.
